Child's World

The story: "We are each the center of our universe, the world revolving around our own, unique perspective. The primary goal of my work is to give insight into those individual realms by recording a slice of it. This "slice of life" gives a view of the building blocks of people's worlds. Each slice is made of a multitude of components, some temporary, others constant, many continuing on out of frame.
The Little Ugandan boy watched me with intense eyes. His was a world of textures and values: hemp, vine, nets and big towering adults moving this way and that. These were the elements that constructed his world. They were part of him as he continued with his uninterrupted focus. I looked at him for meaning. He looked at me and seemed to glow with understanding."
